Varsity Update: Technicalities

It's no secret that I love technical drawings. I love figuring things out, making them work and calculating if it'll succeed or not. To be fairly honest, I think technical work is my favourite part of my career and course and the thought of sitting down doing technical drawings actually appeals to me.

This year is FILLED with technical drawings, which has been great, but also very challenging. For one, its so difficult to technically figure out a space, when it hasn't even been designed yet. A lot of this year has been training my mind to think and design in 2D, which is different to what Im used to, but is strangely working.

Although I (still) do not have rendered and completed designs, my space is coming along and I feel confident that my 2D technicalities will translate into successful 3D spaces.
I think the bottom line of today's post is this: sometimes you have to adapt to situations. And sometimes that runs the risk of turning something you love into a tedious and monotonous task. But this starts and ends with you. Don't see the task as a menial "thing" to be done, but rather an opportunity to hone your skills in something you already love. Life is hard and always has challenges, but don't succumb to it. Rise above it.

xx
