Project Description: So What Am I Actually Doing?

There is rarely a day at varsity that doesn't start with a magical bump along the way, something that just looks at your life going right and thinks "Oh, maybe we should give her a challenge". This project has been no exception and every day so far has been an adventure, even though it has barely even begun.

As part of our busy, rollercoaster of a BTech year, we are required to choose a building and a function for said building. Sounds simple right? Not so much. After sifting through about 7 functions and about 12 building options later, I can finally say that I have narrowed my project down to a conceptual start.

Proposal: A retail departmental thrift and student designer store in Port Elizabeth. Housing space for sale of stock, restoration of second hand goods and student designer retail and manufacturing space, this function's aim is to serve as an affordable outlet for students of Port Elizabeth to purchase goods and build entrepreneurial skills. A quirky, old fashioned beauty of a function. One that I am equally excited and terrified to start.

So, now that you have been made aware of my proposal and self, I am excited to share my journey with you. Might be a bumpy coffee-fuelled ride, but a ride that I am exhilarated to hop onto.

Feel free to post any comments or feedback as the year progresses.

Stay happy and a little crazy...
