Product Design 02: The Chianti Light
Product number 2: this one was more of a challenge. Designing something around the Chianti sunflower posed both tremendously challenging and very rewarding. The final product is an amalgamation of the sunflower's traits, as well as the space's look and sustainable materials.
design is mimicked after the characteristics of the Chianti sunflower.
- Red petals = reddish bronze material used
- Follows the sun = Light is able to adjust and move
- Opens and closes dependent on time = closed petal-like shade shape
- Stands tall = slightly oversized for a desk lamp

The light has been designed to move, so that the height and therefore light can be adjusted to suit the user. Below you can see the light in various positions, as well as its assembly detail.
