Final project outline 01: Let's back it up a little

This year has been nothing short of hectic so far. Trying to juggle subject deadlines, creative ideas, measuring buildings and a tiny smidge of "me-time" has proved to be near impossible. My project description has probably changed about 12 times and trust me I was as confused as you probably are.

So let's back up a little: This year is about doing one collective project from the design to technical resolution thereof. The project is chosen by us as the BTech students and we therefore each have a different building to house our different functions. We had to choose the building, with some help and setbacks along the way, and give it a new conceptual function.

So...

After a few months and a lot of back and forth, I am ready to share a finalised description of my project, the building and the identity so far. Firstly, the function. I am proposing a student-centred creative hub aimed at allowing student creatives to produce and sell their own products whilst showcasing their skills and creating an awareness of them. Simultaneously, the space will allow students to purchase goods from fellow students and therefore a network of student buyers and sellers is built. The space is intended to be fun, comfortable and quirky with a focus on students and their projects.

In essence, I am designing a creative student hub and retail space. Stay tuned for the building choice and logo design.....coming soon...
