The technical side of things
Little known fact about me - I love technical drawings. I actually prefer doing them to designing. They just make sense, yet can be so creative in their own way. So when it came time to sit down and draw up my building on CAD, I was actually quite excited (Not excited as in "yay we're going on holiday"....more like "yay...I want to do this only slightly more than everything else).
After heaps and piles of floorplans, details, sections, elevations, electrical plans....etc etc....my mind is a shuffle of technicality versus design and structure versus freedom of thought. Although there still needs to be a lot of work put in, it's gratifying knowing that all the measuring up was for a purpose and that the arb scribbles of numbers transformed into a structured series of polylines and dimensions.
Below you can see examples of the technical drawings in the form of my proposed demolition plans - the first revisions.
So, in preparation for exams and as a precautionary measure, my brain will be fried from the back-and-forth printing, crits and updated revisions. Wish me luck...
