Golden ratio explained
The golden ratio, to spare you a lot of complicated math and strange words, is a mathematical ratio found in objects in nature that, when applied to man-made objects, produces an organically pleasing effect. It can most commonly be found by one line's length in relation to another, or as a spiral shape (like a nautilus shell).
Now, again to spare you a lot of details and technicalities, the golden ratio is found in the centre of a sunflower, which you can see below. Therefore, as part of my concept, I will be implementing the golden ratio into my designs and shapes and forms used. This means a lot of maths and calculations and I know that in a couple of weeks I will be regretting this decision...but here we are.
In a few weeks, when all the math is figured out and applied, I will share practical examples of the golden ratio and how it's applied. For now, wait in anticipation for the sketched examples and enjoy this short but concise explanation.
