3D's: The fashion design office

The open office area for the fashion designers has been created bearing all related theories in mind. Social design theory has been implemented through the desk designs; the desk is fully adjustable with a moveable centre portion which can slide in and out to allow for additional circulation space or desk space, as seen in figure 5. Additionally, a high tray has been designed to fit over the desk and move to the desired location in order for items such as scissors and pins to be placed away from the fabric being worked with. The storage unit behind the desk has also been designed in such a way as to allow or the storage of a variety of items, such as fabric, thread, and patterns, amongst others, thus allowing the designer to store their necessary items. Access to the space is granted by the use of a ramp as well as stairs, allowing for inclusivity of design and ease of use within the space.
